This Client loved their 1920's style home and wanted to retain the period style and look of the house with a modern, energy efficient feel. They also wanted more space but did not want to alter the footprint of the house. A complete remodel of the Main Floor and a new Second Floor addition accomplished their goals. Main Floor work: 50% of the Main Floor was gutted. The original Hardwood floors were refinished throughout. Retaining the Galley style of the original Kitchen, Flush/Inset painted Cabinets, Granite Countertops and a subway
tile splash were installed. Checker Board tile floor through the Kitchen to the Nook and energy efficient appliances finished the look. The Main Floor Bathroom was rebuilt with period style Fixtures and Title. The new second floor interior received energy efficient large Windows and French Doors and was finished with the period style and feel. The new second floor exterior was faced with a mix of original brick saved from the demolition and new. New roof was applied and an energy efficient lighting plan was installed throughout.
