Gutted and remodeled 1,000 square feet of Interior - Kitchen, Family Room, Laundry Room, Bathroom and Second Floor Bathroom and exterior balcony. This client wanted more Kitchen function and an open interior space for entertaining and family gatherings. The original Kitchen, Dining, and Family rooms were three separate rooms running in railroad car style from the front to the back of the house. The galley style Kitchen had an East/West orientation. We changed the orientation to North/South, keeping the width and removed the separating walls between the three rooms - gutting the interior. The Kitchen ceiling was vaulted to enhance the feeling of spaciousness. New wood ceiling beams and Sautillo Tile flooring throughout tied-in the three rooms. Euro style cabinets, Faux finish walls, and energy efficient appliances and lighting were installed. The Bath was converted from a cramped Full Bath to a spacious Half Bath and the Laundry Room was reconfigured for new energy efficient appliances and a Pantry space. Exterior wood siding was stripped from the back of the house and replaced with a painted stucco finish. The Second Floor deck was re-built and an Iron railing added. The Main Floor exterior wooden deck was replaced with a two color, stamped concrete outdoor living area. Energy efficient Windows and French Doors were installed throughout.
